Description: I am the Co-PI of this study, jointly funded by the NBA, the NBA Players Association and GE inc. We are examining tendon mechanical characteristics, utilizing ultrasound elastography, over the course of a professional basketball season. Contemporaneously, we will also be examining MRI characteristics of the patellar tendon, game and practice load, and biomechanical testing parameters in this cohort.

Evaluated over 40 patients and performed 9 surgeries from 8/5/19-8/9/19 all free of charge as part of mission trip. I performed all surgeries, as well as overseeing and coordinating acquisition of equipment and transport to and from Ethiopia.
