Overview
Multidisciplinary Lecture Series providing a forum for the healthcare team to learn with, from, and about each other by discussing prospective and retrospective cases, with open discussion on guidelines and treatment approaches. This conference is simultaneously being broadcast live for virtual attendees, including non-MedStar employees interested in or involved in the care of Burn patients.

Objectives
After completing this activity, the participant will be able to:

  1. Practice of interprofessional mutual education, where each profession educates learners in other disciplines of current practices in his field and scientific rationale for these advances.
  2. Develop a personal habit of continuous lifelong knowledge acquisition with direct applicability to patient care, replacing old methods of care and procedures with new proven approaches that will improve patient outcomes.
  3. Apply the knowledge gained from the discussion of the care of an individual patient to the care of future patients within the framework of best practices and hospital policies.
  4. Utilize case presentations, applying adult learning principles, evidence-based literature citations, audience engagement and measured improvement in sequential experiences.
