Overview
This multidisciplinary Stroke and Cardiac Symposium is designed for physicians, nurses, advanced practice providers, and EMS personnel. The purpose of this program is to provide comprehensive, evidence-based education on stroke and cardiac care across the continuum. The symposium focuses on best practices, key performance metrics, and actionable strategies to improve patient outcomes. Emphasis will be placed on enhancing interdisciplinary communication, reducing delays in time-sensitive care, and strengthening a coordinated, team-based approach to patient management across pre-hospital, emergency, and inpatient settings.

Objectives
After completing this activity, the participant will be able to:

  1. Apply evidence-based practices to the management of stroke and cardiac patients across the continuum of care.
  2. Analyze key performance metrics (e.g., door-to-CT, door-to-needle, door-to-balloon) to identify opportunities to reduce delays and improve outcomes.
  3. Recognize early signs and symptoms of stroke and cardiac events to support timely activation of appropriate care pathways.
  4. Integrate interdisciplinary approaches to improve patient safety, quality of care, and clinical outcomes.
  5. Implement standardized protocols and team-based strategies to enhance communication and coordination across pre-hospital and in-hospital settings.

Registration

Learners are encouraged to register prior to May 13, 2026, to ensure an accurate headcount and to receive any important updates prior to the symposium.
