2025 MFSMC Surgical M&M & Interesting Case Conference

Provides a forum for the healthcare team to learn with, from, and about each other by discussing prospective and retrospective cases, with open discussion on guidelines and treatment approaches.

1. Apply the knowledge gained from the discussion of the care of an individual patient to the care of future patients within the framework of best practices and hospital policies.
2. Utilize case presentations, applying adult learning principles, evidence-based literature citations, audience engagement and measured improvement in sequential experiences.
3. Explore up-to-date technologies and its applications to best patient care.
4. Engage in continuous professional/interprofessional development to enhance individual/team performance.
5. Apply performance improvement strategies to increase the effectiveness of interprofessional teamwork and team-based care.

In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by MedStar Health. MedStar Health is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team. 

American Board of Surgery CC Credit: Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the learner to earn credit toward the CME and Self-Assessment requirements of the American Board of Surgery’s Continuous Certification program. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit learner completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABS credit.
