Overview
Pancreatic and biliary diseases include a large variety of pathologies, including both benign and malignant diseases, whose diagnosis and management remain a challenge to clinicians. Recent developments and improvements in diagnostic tools and treatment options make this an exciting time for the field. This one-day symposium highlights the full spectrum of multidisciplinary care including advanced imaging, endoscopic approaches, and surgical interventions. We will review the latest advances in molecular profiling as it relates to both pancreas cancer and pancreatic cysts. The course will also address disorders of the bile duct, including the workup and management of biliary tract cancer and bile duct injuries. Finally, the course will emphasize case-based discussion on a range of disorders including acute and chronic pancreatitis and pancreatic ductal strictures.
